I am a realist and enjoy painting with both water based oils and acrylics. I have painted more traditional works for years, however, I am now enjoying the more contemporary side of art exploring many new techniques. Texture and color are fun and apparent in my latest works while city nightlife and neon colors are often my inspiration. I paint on large hollow wood panels, allowing the texture of the raised gesso and paint to be an integral part of the painting. All of my art is completely original, either from life or my own photographs.

Though I focussed on graphic design right out of school, working as an art director in both Europe and the U.S., I feel compelled to paint, like a bottled up emotion trying to get out and on to a board. After many years working and raising our three boys with my amazing husband, I went back and finished my undergraduate degree, received my teaching license, and finally my masters in education. Teaching art is an important part of my life. I enjoy working and inspiring both teens and adults and introducing them and guiding them through the incredible world of art. Before going back to school for my teaching license, I taught kindergarten to adult artists privately in my basement studio for 20 years. My students have always been my inspiration, and I hope I am theirs. I am currently teaching art at Summit High School in Spring hill, TN.

None of this would have been possible without God, and I give all the glory to Him. Thank you God!
